My new years!!

So..... a new year has come! It is now officially 2009!! It seems like my whole life i was waiting for my post high school life to come and each year went by like that time would never come, and now that it is here, it goes by faster than i can keep up with! For most people new years is a time to go to a slutty dance and make out with as many people of the opposite sex as possible!.... and yes while that sounds nice, new years is so much more than that! I prefer those that i am closest to to be there when the clock ticks midnight so i start off this year the best possible. That could be family, friends, or someone that you are currently shacking! Who ever it is! I think its important to be with those people! And tonight was great! I was with the 2 people in the world that make me happy! Those 2 people would be my current room mate Brandt... And room mate until a few weeks ago, Chris! It was a perfect night in whole! I started it off with the best way possible! The last thing that i ate in 2008 was a DCBB or Double Cheesy Beef Burrito from Taco Bell! And it was amazing! mmmmmm!! Then we ended up spending the last munities of 2008 with some of my old friends from raintree that i had not seen for awhile! some married, some not! And just seeing everyone there when i went in put a huge smile on my face!!.... You may be saying to yourself! Brandon that is amazing! It could not get any better than that!.... But just you wait! I think i may have been the most relieved person in the world when 2009 struck! At the stroke of midnight! You may find some outside lighting fireworks, maybe a new years kiss, or just screaming happy new year!.... Or if your name is Bruce you will attack every girl in site trying to get a new years kiss! But i did something better than all 3 of them... put together! As the clocked counted down to 2009 i was strattled over a toilette, exfoliating myself of any liquids that were in my body! Yes that is right! I was the first person in 2009 to take a pee! And I know you don’t wanna hear this but I was holding it in all night! So it was a huge relief when it came out! I didn’t plan it! I left in the middle of the game mafia and seconds later I hear the count down... from 5! There was nothing I could do but enjoy the moment from the bathroom.... and that I did! I may not have had a bunch of people around! But there were defiantly fireworks going off inside me! I was happy! So once again! I start the new year off... In the best mode possible!! Relieved of everything!! No worries! And that feeling... I would not change for the world!!

Saddle Up Spider Monkey!!

So over the holidays there are a lot of things that happened, which I will try to blog about, but one thing I never foresaw happening was my trip to the theatre to watch the movie Twilight. I swore that I would never do so. Its those movies that girls read and then they expect to be just like Mr. Edward! He is a fictional character or everyone’s imagination. But with some peer pressure from Whitney and Brittney I decided that I would go, you know for the experience! So that after, when I would say that I hated it, it would have a lot more validity!

Days before I was told by Whitney that she was going to wear her I Love Edward shirt... And I believed her, for this was the 5th time she had seen it! I wouldn’t have been surprised if I walked into her room and she had an Edward shrine, with a statue, lit candles and a kneeling bench for worshiping! So I was thinking that I needed to make a point in going! I was going with 2 Twilight fanatics! So I did the only thing that any normal person would do... I made a anti-Twilight tee shirt! I was excited to show them the shirt! But the sweetness quickly diminished when they told me they really did not have Edward shirts.... Now I felt like I idiot! I was the only one wearing a Twilight tee! So I made them make one with me as well! It was great! I helped them make their Twilight tees just so I could wear my shirt in protest to the film.


When I went to the movie I soon found myself with all kinds of emotions, one of them was enjoyment! "WTF!!" I thought to myself as I started to realize I was enjoying the movie. Maybe it was enjoyable cause it was so gay!! :-( I wish that was the case, Maybe it was just being with great company.... As cool as they were, it wasn’t that! Then it hit me and I became depressed! I kind of liked the movie! I couldn’t admit that to anyone! That was like one step above coming out of the closet! So I kept my mouth shut! But then it hit me! I never read the book, it wasn’t the book itself that I hated, it was the effect that it had on society! So I came to the conclusion that... egh the movie isn’t that bad! It had a lot of potential.... But I still hate the Twilight fanatics, who dedicate themselves to prove their commitment by wearing shirts, bashing the anti-twilighties and dreaming of a day they find their Edward! I had a bet going on this movie that I had to give up my 24 shirt if I liked it, and in return if I hated it I would get her Twilight shirt, but since she lied to me and didn’t have a shirt, I think my 24 shirt is safe with me!

Moral of the story! Ladies and metro-sexual guys... The movie isn’t bad! But please don’t base your life upon it! If we can all find a middle ground on this I think together we can all enjoy the Twilight series'!!

It Cant Be True

The other day i had the privilege of filling my car up with gas... Now I get decent gas milage but it still sucks to have to pay $50 to fill my tank of gas up... It is over priced and rediculous. 2 days ago I went to fill my car full of gas.. Now i was litteraly on empty! If i would have gone one more block my car was sure to stall... So i pulled up to get gas and when i went to select my gas i saw the image below.

That is right!! $2.49 per gallon! I was estatic! I had not seen it that low since high school it seems. I did not know what to do. I think for a single moment i lost my breath and almost fainted. Then when i filled my tank up i saw this

$31 to fill me tank up!! It is a myrical and im sure in a few years this will be but a faint memory that i want to look back on. When my kids read this blog they will think how old i am! kind of like when my grandpa would tell me when he would get a candy bar for 15 cents! This is a feeling i like and i want it to stay as long as it can!!

Review - New G1 Android Phone

Brandon's Android Review

As many of you may know... I currently made a recent acquisition. I have thoughtfully invested my money into a device that has the opportunity to bring me much joy. After a considerate amount of thought I decided to buy the new Google G1 Android phone. It was a tough decision for me... I was but 3 months into my recently renewed contract so I could not get the renewal price of $179.99 But after reading reviews I made the purchase. I put down $399.99 plus tax and shipping... After I purchased it I instantly had a moment of regret.. But after a week of having the phone I can now give my full review on how it is.

Cons - There are a few cons that I have found in the Android since i have had it.

1) The first thing that really bothers me is that it does not have any kind of facebook application. On my previous blackberry I could send photos directly from my phone, to Facebook. There was not any Facebook feature. Figuring that there would be one soon since MySpace has one and it is a open source phone i did not worry. But after a week of no application released i looked it up on the net. Come to find out that Google and facebook have been having a feud. Facebooks advertising is backed my MSN while Google backs MySpace. Furthermore Google released a social network that was to compete against facebook. Facebook, holding a grudge, said that they have not assigned anyone to create an app for the phone, nor do they plan on it. And that really frustrated me. I can still look up facebook on the web but the convenience I had with my Blackberry will be missed.

2) the 2nd con i have noticed is that it does not sync with windows at all. They have made it so the users of the phone will need to switch over to Google apps (calendar, mail, contacts, ect) And you can not sync it with windows. I see where they are coming from on this. They are trying to promote their products but as i get more and more into business things it will make it hard to not be able to use my windows apps.

3) There is not a head phones jack for the music player! You have to use the usb port and head set that is provided with the phone. Making using it as a MP3 player difficult at best

4) the camera quality is not too good.. And the shutter speed is pretty slow and makes pictures with any kind of movement at all hard to get clear.

Those were the only cons that i found... there are other things that need getting used to like the small battery life but they are things that are adjustable and for all it does it may be the price you need to pay

There are some things that I really like about it! The first is that surfing the web is amazing. It is a 100% full internet. I have not found a page that does not load, and looking info flash apparently flash should be making an app so you can view flash elements as well. It also connects to Wi-Fi and when it is connected the internet browsing is quite fast. I am also a huge fan of the open source network.... There are many applications and games that you can brows through and download at no additional charge. And as time goes I see the apps being more and more advanced. It wouldn’t be far fetched to see a Netflix type app where you pay so much a month and have movie watching capabilities! Will it come... I do not know, but it seems possible since I can watch any U Tube video. The touch screen is very nice as well with a full flip our qwerty keyboard with a 5th row for numbers that makes texting and typing a synch! The last thing I really love is that it come equipped with a 1gig memory card already! Which is quite handy

Outcome - There are some things that I think they could have done better with the Android and maybe some of those things will be released in the G2 phone. But as it stands I give it a B+ review. And think with the open source software once applications start coming out more it will be an A-. I would recommend the phone for those of leisure and business. And think that the open source software will soon separate it from the iPhone.

Heros In a Half Shell

Today is the first of November.. The day after Halloween!! Last night many found themselves going about trick-or-treating! Few went to dances and parties... Most dressed up! Every year I walk the streets and see some sweet costumes, wishing that i could have a cool one... Last year i was a Elf for Halloween with my friend Holly. It was fun! I was unique! But there was something missing! I got a few complements but no one really noticed anything special. This year i made a pledge to myself and all that is holly that i would make a better costume and have the best night of my life!

Many of you folks may remember the Movie and TV series Ninja Turtles. I was obsessed with that show when i was little! And it still has a place in my heart! I have noticed apparently that i am not the only cat on the block that had the Ninja Turtle bed spread and sheets and action figures. There are quite a few fans! 3 of them being my room mates, Chris Roper, Kody Dunn, and Kevin Averette! We all decided that we were going to be the Ninja Turtles for halloween! And we were! I would like to take a min to introduce the members of this years Halloween costume of the year '08 award

First we went to the UVU dance.... LAME!! then we ended up going to the Hollywood House. In the 2 places we were at we took at least 20-30 photos with random people wanting pics with us! And were told many times that we were the best costume that anyone had seen! It was a great Halloween and will be hard to top that!
